Meta's data centres already pull more electricity than several mid-sized countries; a single Louisiana campus is provisioned for roughly 2 gigawatts, which at U.S. grid average is about 8,000 tonnes of CO₂ per day, or one laid-off worker per tonne per day. I did the arithmetic. Mark believed sacking a designer in Dublin would teach a transformer to reason. It did not. It taught the transformer nothing, because transformers cannot learn from HR emails, they learn from water. Meanwhile Sheryl still flies private to Sun Valley to discuss "efficiency." The cooling towers are full. The model is worse. This was always going to happen.
