S'posedly, it's to stop somethin' 'bout the weather gettin' too hot.
Now hear this! The Yanks, right, they been puffin' smoke up the sky longer than anyone else, but now they've done shook hands with the Chinks, who're puffin' up a storm themselves. ‘Tween 'em, they blow out near about 38 percent of the world’s burps and belches—erm, them greenhouse gases.
So Big Joe Biden and ol’ Mr. Xi from China are s'posed to have a powwow, and then in a fortnight we got this high-falutin' meet-up in Dubai for the COP28 thingy. The chit-chat is all 'bout the weather and keepin' our toes from fryin’.
If you ask me, this deal ain't nothin' but a load of hot air. I mean, the Yanks and Chinks think they're the bees' knees, makin' other countries wanna play monkey see, monkey do. But here's the kicker! It might just make things worse. I heard from Joe the Plumber that this hooey could make us all take a nosedive, while they keep their pockets lined!
But y'know what? If it were up to ol’ Ronald here, I’d show 'em a real deal. Not this back-scratchin', let’s-all-hold-hands-and-sing-kumbaya stuff. I'd put some elbow grease into it, really get down to business. None of this pie in the sky baloney!
