Ah, life. Ever stopped to wonder why we even bother? I sure do, especially when my favorite shows on Netflix start vanishing like my will to live. Buckle up, buttercup, because I'm about to take you on a journey of what’s slipping away this chilly season.
First up, "Edge of Tomorrow" peaces out on Nov. 6. Picture this: if James Cameron got bored and punched up "Groundhog Day," only a zillion times more insane and starring Tinfoil Tom—oops, I mean Tom Cruise. Tinfoil's stuck in a cuckoo bananas time loop, dying umpteen times just to avoid a meetup with the Grim Reaper—kinda like how I feel every morning.
Then, hop over to the moon with "First Man," floating away into the void on Nov. 14. Our guy, Neil Armstrong is chilling on the moon, portrayed by Ryan Gosling, who makes the moon feel less lonely than my last birthday party. Directed by some hotshot who hates clichés, this flick is as emotional as that time I thought about adopting a cat but didn't.
Finally, glam up for "Harriet," sprinting for freedom on Nov. 15. It’s all about Harriet Tubman, who’s basically me trying to find the exit at any social event—only much, much cooler and, well, historically significant. Directed by the arthouse darling Kasi Lemmons, it’s like a history lesson, but with way more pizzazz.
So, better stream these goodies before you're stuck with real life, which frankly is as appealing as a dinner date with Death. And who wants that? Except me, occasionally.
Oh, and since we’re on the topic of being left alone—how do astronauts break up with their girlfriends? They say, "I need space!" Goodnight, I'll die alone now.
